Stop Polluting, Start Collaborating: Environmental Thoughts in Bishop Fulton J Sheen

Uncategorized

The United Nations declared the year 2010 as the International Year of Biodiversity and the year 2011 as the Year of Forest. Life on Earth today consists of many millions of distinct biological species. Our negligence of the environment and deep rooted egotism provoke us to act as autocratic despots. Instead of having mutual encouragement and harmonious coexistence, mankind lost interest and respect for nature and replaced it with hi-tech devices. The human imagination is so diseased by sin that we defeat our own interests and are not able to discern between right and wrong. We have poisoned the rivers from which we drink, polluted even the air we breathe. Wars and constant threat to humanity alarm us every day. An observation of nature around brings us to the conclusion that this Earth is in trouble.
